Theoretical and practical course to approach windsurfing and learn a few basics.
This course offers a first approach to windsurfing. The teaching program, aimed at making the student autonomous, includes a theoretical introduction on land followed by practical sessions in the water. The main topics covered are sailing technique and the execution of the tack, complemented by information on wind and safety. At the end of the course, the student will be able to handle light wind conditions, independently launching and returning to the beach. The teaching method used follows the standards of the Italian Sailing Federation and VDWS. Upon passing a specific exam, students can obtain the VDWS license certifying their acquired skills.
BOOKINGThis course is a continuation of the A1 course and is intended for those who can already handle the board with some confidence. The program focuses on improve the tack, learning the jibe, and sailing upwind. All water lessons are preceded by theory lessons on a simulator. By the end of the course, the student will be able to safely manage medium wind conditions. Upon passing a specific exam, students can obtain the VDWS license certifying their acquired skills.
BOOKINGThis course includes a teaching program designed to learn how to sail using a harness and to refine the maneuvers introduced in the A2 course under stronger wind conditions. The harness helps reduce arm fatigue, improves posture, and as a result, allows for greater speed. The course also includes learning how to do a beach start.
BOOKINGIn this course, our instructors will teach you the tricks to effortlessly maneuver a board without a centerboard. The course program focuses on learning to plane — the ultimate expression of speed in windsurfing. The goal is to master all the movements needed to enter the planing phase and maintain the correct stance with your feet in the footstraps.
BOOKINGThe power jibe is the most coveted maneuver among windsurfers. Once you have mastered planing, this maneuver allows you to change direction without losing speed. For better and faster learning, the maneuver is broken down into several phases: high-speed entry, body and sail position adjustment, foot change, and the sail jibe. We use video analysis to help correct mistakes and refine technique.
BOOKINGIn our teaching program, we haven’t forgotten experienced surfers who want to keep learning new moves and stay up to date with the latest windsurfing techniques. Students can choose to learn one or more of the following maneuvers: race-jibe, duck-jibe, high jump, aerial jibe, 360°, helicopter. Group A7 courses require a minimum of three participants. If the minimum is not reached, private lessons covering the same content can be arranged.
BOOKINGWith us, you’ll learn all those freestyle moves you thought only World Cup champions could pull off — and in a fun, easy way. After just a few hours of lessons, thanks to tailored teaching methods, you’ll be surprised at what you can do: Vulcan, Willy Skipper, Speed Loop, Beat Me, Duck Tack, Reverse Duck Tack, Push Tack, and more... Group A8 courses require a minimum of three participants. If this number is not reached, private lessons with the same program are available.

Young children between 8-14 years old can now learn windsurfing in a funny and playfully way. The course programme considers both, theory and practice: Surfing in different directions , tack , simple jibe , and an introduction to the safety rules. Special focus is on the proper technique and bodyposition. We provide special light rigs designed for kids. At the end of the lessons the young windsurfers are able to windsurf safely on their own in lightwind conditions.
BOOKINGIn the courses from B2 to B7 the kids reach, step by step, the same course goals as the adults (described in A1 to A7) , just with different teaching methods and special equipment.
BOOKINGWINDSURF CAMP
Camp 5 days lasting: from 9:00 o’clock to 16:00 o’clock, for children aged between 7 – 13 years old, though for absolute beginners to the already experts. The goal will be for the beginners to get closer to windsurf reaching a first level of autonomy on the board, learn to recognize the wind and live the beauty of the sail sports. For those who are already experts the goal is to reach the best surf level possible.
WINDSURF&FOIL CAMP
Training camp lasting 5 days for boys and girls aged up to 18, to learn to use the windsurf foil, to learn the regatta technique and to perfectionate the power jibe.

In our center you can find VDWS instructors who will bring you nearer to this sport teaching you all the tricks for an efficient and relaxing paddling and guide you to discover the Lake of garda following new paths.
During this course you are going to learn the basic knowledge concerning the equipment and the security and the balance on the board and the use of the paddle. After a theoretical part at land you start with balance exercises in the water in order to get used to maintain the balance point on the board. The lesson continues combining the balance on the board with the paddling.
BOOKINGGaining self-confidence on the board you start to improve the paddling in order to increase the efficiency and to decrease the wast of energy, increasing proportionally fun and resistance. Even the ease of handling of the board improves, allowing you to do reduced the radius of curvature.
BOOKINGIn our school you can learn to fly on water with Windsurf Foil and our teachers, that with the support of radio inserted in your helm, will guide you in every step you take in extraordinary experience. To take part at the lesson it’s necessary to be able to plan (A5 level)

The duration of these excursions depends on the aerobic conditions and the technical level of the students and also on the weather conditions. Normally you start with the north wind and you come back with the “ORA” blowing from the south. In this way you make the most of the boost wind power getting the possibility when you return to surf some waves. At half way you relax having a break in one of the small beaches that the Garda Lake offers to eat something. During the excursion the trainer has the possibility to give you some advices concerning position, paddling and other little secrets of SUP.

A specially developed planing simulator together with the instructions of the teacher will help you. You can train and study the different movements to do.
The Ability Surf Card will be given to all of our participants taking part in our courses. It is a personal membership card, which indicates the level reached upon completion of our course.
Acknowledge as the best teaching method to learn the most difficult manoeuvres in a short time. During the lessons in the water the instructor films the manoeuvres performed by the student in order to watch them after the class and correct them. The Video Clinic Control method is used for the advanced courses.
Special light weight equipment has been designed for the female surfers. The booms, designed with a reduced diameter and carbon made masts, guarantees their lightness and makes them easy to handle. These are the characteristics that allow the surfer to face less physical strain therefore ensuring a quicker learning process, whilst at the same time, providing a more enjoyable, satisfying and rewarding experience.
A worldwide valid license which allows you to rent windsurfing equipment in any school in the world, comparable to the PADI for scuba divers. To get this special license you must pass a test in addition to the standard windsurfing course at our school. The cost of the license amounts to € 30,00.
Gliding, Jibing or even extreme Freestyle manoeuvre are not a problem anymore even for young windsurf talents.
At Vasco Renna Surf Center you'll find special rigs with shorter masts, booms and minimum weight for an easy and quick learning for future windsurfers.
Vasco, national olympic multi-champion and I° degree federal instructor, guarantees the highest levels of professionalism of the school, recognized by the Italian Sailing Federation.
If you're a good surfer and you think to have what it takes to teach at our Center you can take the courses, take the tests and do an internship to get the VDWS international instructor license.
